Model of the Hungarian locomotive M44 (orig. designation DVM2) Locomotives were produced from 1954 by the MÁVAG/Ganz locomotive factory. Locomotives with a 440kW engine and electric power transmission were primarily intended for shunting service, but were also used for transporting lighter freight or passenger trains. Exported to many countries (USSR - modified designation ВМЭ1, 300 pcs., Poland SM40/41 approx. 280 pcs., Jugoslavia, Bulgaria and others). 5 units were purchased under the designation T455.0 for ČSD, they were used on the shunting in Bratislava. Still in operation in Hungary with private carriers.
